Uig Lodge was originally built in the grounds of the Uig Hotel on the site of the stables in 1970 and the first floor was added in 1974. The interior was completely refurbished in 2016 and the rooms enjoy spectacular views of Uig bay.
The daily ferry service to both Harris and North Uist leaves from the bay. The ferry terminal is just three minutes’ drive from the Uig Lodge.
There are opportunities for sightseeing, watching wildlife, walking, fishing or just taking it easy in a corner of Scotland where life seems to move at an easier pace! It is little known that during summer months the Ascrib Isles in Uig bay becomes home to hundreds of puffins. Taking a trip to see them will often include close encounters with whales, dolphins and even the mighty basking shark.
To check in come into reception at the Uig Hotel after 3pm on the day of arrival, the Lodge is then just a couple of minutes’ walk up through the gardens to the rear. There is a separate car park just in front of the Lodge.
